Logo Critique

wendys_logo.png

- This is the Wendy's Logo. I see this logo as welcoming. A place where people view as comfortable to go too. Using the colors yellow and red, also used in the McDonald's logo, are used to represent hunger. The use of the little girl Wendy makes this look like a kid friendly restaurant, making kids more drawn to the idea of going there. I believe it looks like a friendly place where anyone can attend, especially with "Hamburgers" in bold, it makes the idea of one get stuck in your head. Also, using the expression "Old Fashioned.." makes it adult friendly because it makes them relate too the type of burgers they remember, or want.

- The Disney logo, for me, always brings happiness. With the castle in the background and the unique font that is used, it just makes you curious about the magic behind Disney. I believe this is a logo that is recognized by almost anyone, which makes it easy to relate too. This logo is definitely more directed towards kids. Little Kids all know Disney as this magical place where they want to go, so they immediately recognize the lettering and the castle in the background. The color Blue is used to represent peacefulness, which makes Disney all the more attractive to people of all age groups.

- The BMW logo, to me represents success. This logo is directed towards adults, I would say both gender equally. I know that I associate BMW's with wealth of some sort, in some ways a car people get to show off. It gives off a bold statement of class in my eyes. If I were too own the BMW of my dreams, I'd feel powerful in a way.

nba_logo1.jpg- The NBA logo, I believe is very much directed towards Men, of all ages. The colors are very bold and attractive, and they do a very good job of drawing you in. The white outlined basketball player in the middle jumps off the page and makes you realize that this is a strong representation of sports. Even with the basketball player being a guy, it gives off a masculine vibe which although some girls are into basketball, this ad isn't as appealing to them as it is for men.

- Although, this is an older Kool Aid logo, I believe this is a strong attraction towards kids. Again, with bold colors that make this ad look more appealing and attractive, and also the font they used makes it look fun and exciting. Not to mention the use of a giant, smiling, cartoon pitcher of Kool Aid is also a immediate funny attraction for kids.
